Deputy Chief (Ret.) – NYPD
Deputy Chief (Ret.) served 35 years with the New York City Police Department, rising through the ranks to lead complex operations and specialized units. From 2013 to 2022, he served as Executive Officer of the NYPD’s Special Operations Division, overseeing the Emergency Service Unit, Harbor Unit, Aviation Unit, Mounted Unit, and Strategic Response Group. A veteran of the Emergency Service Unit, he also led the NYTF-1 Urban Search and Rescue Team under the Department of Homeland Security from 2004 to 2013. He played key roles in responding to major incidents including the Staten Island ferry crash and the Midtown steam pipe explosion. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from Marist University and retired in 2022 after a decorated law enforcement career.
