John D. Macari Jr.

John Macari Jr. is a retired Lieutenant of the New York City Police Department, where he served with distinction before being forced into an early retirement in 2022 for his refusal to comply with NYC’s vaccine mandate. Following his service, he founded and now co-hosts New York’s Finest: Retired & Unfiltered, a podcast offering candid insights into policing, public safety, and New York City life. He is known for sharing no-nonsense commentary on law enforcement, politics, and urban culture. John also now serves as the executive producer for The Finest Unfiltered network where he oversees all aspects of the network’s quality and growth.
